Cooling & chillers

Part of Dome troubleshooting — start there for quick triage. The six XDL projectors each have a separate chiller, frequently in a different room from the projector it serves — see the position table on the overview. A projector fault may actually be a chiller fault one floor away, so identify the pairing before moving.

The causes and step sequences on this page are informed reconstructions pending review — see the note on the main troubleshooting page.

Chiller alarm or projector overheating

  1. Identify which chiller serves the alarming projector. Getting this wrong sends you to the wrong floor.
  2. Check the chiller for alarms, flow and coolant level.
  3. Check the chiller's power feed on PDUs.
  4. Do not keep restarting a projector that is thermally alarming. Escalate.
