Control computer​

  • DECISION0 (HP Z2) is the C-Play master for the Decision Arena. It hosts the control interface. Audio is connected to DECISION0 and controlled by C-Play. It can also control the PTZ camera above the cylinder, which is used for remote troubleshooting to check how the display actually looks (warping problems are not visible through TeamViewer or VNC to DECISION3).

The following software is installed

  • C-Play, running as the master with DECISION3 as its node across the full screen.
  • WATCHNET, this only controls the WATCHOUT Display computers/system in the Decision Arena.
  • WATCHOUT Production, to be able to modify the WATCHOUT shows.
  • VIOSO 5 and 6, to camera calibrate the projectors.

Display computer​

  • DECISION3 (HP Z840, 3 × NVIDIA RTX A4000) runs as the C-Play node and drives all nine projectors across the full screen, with DECISION0 as the master. Its two Datapath DisplayPort capture cards let C-Play capture DECISION1 (WATCHOUT 6) and/or WIN05534 (PresPC). Warping is enabled in the NVIDIA cards; if it has been disabled, run the WARP Startup script on the desktop as administrator to restore it.

WATCHOUT source computer​

  • DECISION1 (HP Z820) runs the WATCHOUT 6 show. Its output goes over two DP cables into one of the Datapath capture cards in DECISION3 for capture by C-Play. After a reboot, the WATCHOUT 6 splash screen (Dataton logo, 172.19.20.11) is visible when that capture is shown in C-Play; do Load Default Show to bring up the default background image.

    Fan issue

    DECISION1 has fan issues. When it starts up, you may need to press F1 on the wired keyboard in the rack to continue the boot.

Presentation computer​

  • WIN05534 (PresPC) is the presentation computer, mounted above the two HP Z machines in the rack. It connects to the other Datapath capture card in DECISION3 with two DP cables. C-Play can show its capture on its own or together with the WATCHOUT capture. PresPC audio also works in stereo.
