Decision Arena

A cylindrical, fully surrounding 2D projection environment used for workshops, meetings and decision-support sessions. Groups stand or sit inside the cylinder with data around them. There is no stereoscopic projection here, which removes a whole class of problems — but nine blended projectors introduce their own.

Signal chain

C-Play runs with DECISION0 as the master and DECISION3 as a node, covering the full screen across all nine projectors. DECISION3 drives the projectors through its three RTX A4000 cards.

C-Play captures DECISION1 running WATCHOUT 6 and/or the presentation computer WIN05534 (PresPC) through the two Datapath DisplayPort capture cards in DECISION3. Each source connects to its capture card with two DP cables.

C-Play controls the audio, which is now connected to DECISION0. PresPC audio also works in stereo.

All nine projectors are driven by DECISION3 (the old four/five split no longer applies). The physical position of projectors 1–9 around the cylinder is still to be recorded.

Warping and calibration

Warping is applied in the NVIDIA cards on DECISION3 (not inside the projectors). If the warping has been disabled — for example after a driver update or a display re-detect — run the WARP Startup script as administrator from the DECISION3 desktop to restore it (see Troubleshooting).

Record where the stored warping/calibration settings live and how to run a full recalibration (VIOSO is installed on DECISION0).
